Freedom to Bless
† Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost † August 30, 2026
Romans 12:9-21 reminds us that through Christ’s death and resurrection, baptized believers are freed from the old sinful self and equipped with God-given spiritual resources to love and serve those around them. By the mercy of God and through faith in Christ, Christians are given to live as priests: love sincerely, persevere in prayer, pursue peace, forgive enemies, and overcome evil with good, extending Christ’s blessing and reconciliation to a fallen world. In Christ we have the freedom to bless!
