Our Pastor’s sermons are grounded in God’s Law and the joy of the Gospel, drawing directly from Scripture to proclaim God’s truth.
Through the sermon, the Holy Spirit works to convict us of sin, drive us to repentance, and direct us to Christ as our only hope and salvation. The Law shows us our need and the Gospel announces what God has done to meet that need through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a noisy and fractious world, the pulpit stands as a place where God’s truth is proclaimed without alteration or compromise. Here, Christ is preached, sins are forgiven, and faith is sustained by the Word of God.

Burn Out
† Sixth Sunday After Pentecost † July 5, 2026
The Lord Jesus invites all to come to him for rest. Our lives are under constant stress and for many this leads to “burnout”. What about people who are burned out by religion? Jesus promise is especially for them. We find true rest and peace in the forgiveness of sins that Jesus alone provides!

The Struggle
† Fifth Sunday After Pentecost † June 28, 2026
The Christian life is a struggle between doing that which God desires and that which our sinful flesh desires. That struggle finds its resolution only in the work of Jesus who defeated the power of sin and death by His own death and resurrection. In Jesus, we are no longer under the condemnation our sinful flesh deserves. By God’s grace, through faith in Jesus, we are free from the power of sin and death. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Confessing Christ

Jesus gives every Christian the joyful and challenging work of confessing His redeeming work to the world. Though believers in Jesus will face opposition to that confession, they have the great promise of Jesus that everyone who will acknowledge Him before others (confessing), He will also acknowledge him before His Father in heaven.

Dead Or Alive
† Third Sunday after Pentecost † – June 14, 2026
In his letter to the Romans, St. Paul teaches that all who are baptized into Christ have died with Him. We are dead to sin and dead to the law. But God does not leave us dead. He raises us to a new life in Christ Jesus. We are no longer under law but under grace, and sin has no power over us. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!
