When Jesus Seems Silent

When Jesus seems silent, faith does not abandon Him but clings more tightly to His promises, trusting who He is even when His ways are difficult to understand. The Canaanite woman shows us that even the crumbs of Christ’s mercy are more than enough, because we have a Savior greater than our sin, suffering, and death, who ultimately gives us not scraps but Himself in His Word and Sacraments.
