Weekly Sermons

This isn’t entertainment or motivational speaking, it’s faithful proclamation of the Word.

Faithful Preaching

Our Pastor’s sermons are grounded in God’s Law and the joy of the Gospel, drawing directly from Scripture to proclaim God’s truth.

Through the sermon, the Holy Spirit works to convict us of sin, drive us to repentance, and direct us to Christ as our only hope and salvation. The Law shows us our need and the Gospel announces what God has done to meet that need through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a noisy and fractious world, the pulpit stands as a place where God’s truth is proclaimed without alteration or compromise. Here, Christ is preached, sins are forgiven, and faith is sustained by the Word of God.

Confessing Christ

† Fourth Sunday After Pentecost † June 21, 2026

Jesus gives every Christian the joyful and challenging work of confessing His redeeming work to the world. Though believers in Jesus will face opposition to that confession, they have the great promise of Jesus that everyone who will acknowledge Him before others (confessing), He will also acknowledge him before His Father in heaven.

Dead Or Alive

† 3rd Sunday after Pentecost † – June 14, 2026

In his letter to the Romans, St. Paul teaches that all who are baptized into Christ have died with Him. We are dead to sin and dead to the law. But God does not leave us dead. He raises us to a new life in Christ Jesus. We are no longer under law but under grace, and sin has no power over us. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!

The Heart of the Holy Trinity

† The Feast of the Holy Trinity † May 31, 2026

The Festival of the Holy Trinity is unique among church festivals. It doesn’t celebrate an important event in the Bible or a person, it celebrates a reality about God. The reality is that the Triune God loves this world. The eternal Father, who created all things, sent the eternal Son to save this sin sick world through His death and resurrection, and the eternal Holy Spirit brings that Word of mercy to the world through the preaching of the Gospel! That is the heart of the Holy Trinity!

Pentecost Every Sunday

† The Day of Pentecost † May 24, 2026

Pentecost was an Old Testament harvest festival meant to give thanks to God for His goodness. After the resurrection of Jesus, the day was filled with new meaning. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out on the apostles for the sake of preaching the Gospel to the world. We are the blessed recipients of the Holy Spirit’s work in our day through the preaching of that same Gospel.
